MINDFULNESS - dealing with pain

Welcome to lesson 11 of the Introduction to Mindfulness course.

Today, I want to talk about how to work with pain in your body.

How you work with pain in your body is, in many ways, very similar to how you work with distractions, or strong, or difficult emotions, in the sense that you want to bring your attention to the pain and notice how it feels in the body.

Today’s lesson will take 20 minutes. Make sure you will not be disturbed, and...

  • Hanny Schouten says:

Since half a year I have to deal with pain in my upper back and ribs left going down to the front site. I broke a vertebrae during an Aikido lesson. Even in the meditations the pain is there, only when I fall a sleep it will go away but when I wake up its still there. I try to be as gentle as possible to my body and sent love to the pain. Thank you for this meditation.

    • Vered Neta says:

      Thanks Sylvia.

Would love to hear what was your experience in this Mindfulness lesson

  • Marjolein Etten says:

Beautiful session, I was actually experiencing some heavy menstruation cramps. Focusing on them made them disappear, but only for a short while. Very interesting, thank you.

    • Vered Neta says:

Great observations Marjolein, well done. Just keep doing this during the day when you notice the pain…

  • Jet Sebus says:

    Wonderful session, Vered, thank you!

    • Vered Neta says:

      Great to hear that Jet.

Would love to hear what did you take out of it into your daily life.
