MINDFULNESS - Wandering Mind

Welcome to lesson 3 of the Introduction to Mindfulness course.

Over the past two lessons we've been working with mindful breathing, learning how to pay attention to the feelings of the breath in a relaxed way.

Basically, noticing the sensations in the body when we breathe in and when we breathe out.

Today we're going to add another layer to that and...

You probably noticed in our first lessons that when you try to pay attention to the breath, the mind very quickly starts to wander off... so today we’re going to learn how to work with a wandering mind.

Today’s lesson will take 17 minutes. Make sure you will not be disturbed, and...

Please take a moment and let me know, in a comment below,
what was your experience during the practice, and if you have any question.

I love to hear from you, and I respond to every comment...

  • Iris Meij says:

My bigest insight is to bring back the mind with patience and compassion and not punish my self for wandering off.
I feel calm and gentle after this mornings meditation.
    Thank you Vered

    • Vered Neta says:

Thanks Iris. That’s a great insight which good for everything you do… be patient & kind to yourself.

  • Marjolein Etten says:

This already went better compared to last exercise. I almost panicked when I saw we were to meditate for fifteen minutes! I cannot concentrate that long I thought. But it went by in a flash and it was easier than I thought.

    • Vered Neta says:

      That’s great to hear Marjolein.
Just realise that time is just a concept and we don’t really know how fast, or slow it goes.
We only live in the PRESENT. This practice allows you to practice living in present moment.

  • Japke Englebrt says:

Nice friendly meditation which helps to focus

    • Vered Neta says:

      Great to hear that Japke.

Curious to know what insight you got from it?
