What is Mindfulness

Welcome to lesson 2 of the Introduction to Mindfulness course.

Today I will explain what mindfulness actually is, and... how to practice mindful breathing.

Throughout this course, in the guided meditations, I'll guide you how to really tap into what mindfulness is, so that you can experience mindfulness, rather than just knowing it as a concept.

Today’s lesson will take 15 minutes. Make sure you will not be disturbed, and...

I love to hear from you, and I respond to every comment...

  • Iris Meijr says:

This second lesson made me more aware of my body. The tension I feel in some areas and by just giving it a little attention I could feel it soften.

  • Hanny Schouten says:

This was a nice time for myself after being for hours in the kitchen with a lot of fun. I enjoyed my kitchen activities and I also enjoy the mindful meditation, focusing on my breathing what went slower and slower til I felt a sleep. I love it, thank you Vered.

  • Marjolein Etten says:

I found it quite difficult to not let my mind wander. I kept on thinking about an awesome TV series I watched yesterday 😀

    • Vered Neta says:

      Thanks Marjolein for honest comment.

It’s absolutely normal that this happens, it’s part of meditation. The Main point is that you notice it and when it happens you accept it as part of the meditation and with a lot of love and acceptance return your focus on your breathing.

It’s just a proof that you are… HUMAN and ALIVE

  • Japke Englebert says:

Nice way to start the day with. Looking out for tomorrow about wandering thoughts

  • Milka Martijn says:

Very Nice. I get so much more understanding about mindfulness.

Sometimes we uses words without knowing the exact meaning of it.
Thanks Vered. Have a nice blessed Sunday.

    • Vered Neta says:

      Great to hear this Milka.

Would love to know more how was your experience with this lesson and what was your biggest insight from it

  • Jet Sebus says:

    Hi, Vered,

Thank you for this mindfulness course.

I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s lesson, as I really need some practice in not letting my mind wandering away – I got so many terrific ideas during today’s session ?

    • Vered Neta says:

      Great to hear this Jet.

Just keep going with the course. Each day will give you another step in building your ability to live a life with mindfulness
