How Could You Make a (Bigger) Difference in the World
At one point in your life, you decided to become a superhero.
- You decided that what you have to say matters.
- You decided what you have to give could make a difference.
- You decided that you could make this world a better place.
But sometimes, you may forget how much you have to offer.
Even the smallest act of kindness has a ripple effect.
When you give, you develop compassion, peace of mind, and gratitude for life and you stop focusing, for a moment on all your problems.
There is always something you can do to help.
The key is to start where you are.
And once you start making a difference, you’ll want to do it again and again.
The good news is that it’s good for your health and reduces stress, increasing your life-expectancy, making you feel good and happier each day.
So... we ask you today to think for yourself...
How could you make a (bigger) difference in the world?
Here's Our Suggestion:
Become a Mentor
Being someone’s mentor is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact - not just for them, but for you as well.
Working with someone as their mentor allows you to sharpen your best skills, develop talent in your field of interest and create a lasting legacy.
You can be a mentor because you are great at something. Anything.
As a mentor, you get to help younger, less experienced people in your field who may have had less support and fewer resources.
You can also make an impact on those of lower economic status and help them learn how to improve their future - a great way of making a difference for generations.
Now It's Your Turn
We can’t wait to read your comment and get inspired.
And until then...
Teaching dance and music classes to others and let them feel that they can be who they are and be strong.
Thanks Simone for your contribution.
What type of dancing do you teach and how does it make people feel good with themselves?
I started hiring people to work with me (next to some contractors I already hired, but these people joined the company).
The two people I have now first did their graduation project with me and then started to work for me. I see that there is sooooo much I can teach them and help them with.
I feel I now not make a difference by helping my clients on leaner, cleaner and greener transport, but also a difference in the (young) people’s lives.
Thanks Elske for your wonderful input.
It’s great to read about your leadership and how you share your wisdom and knowledge with the world
