How Could You Experience More Happiness in Your Daily Life

Are you happy?

The question seems simple enough.
But when you really take the time to evaluate your level of happiness, you may find you're out of balance and you could be wondering how exactly you can fix it.

Happiness looks different for everyone.

For you... maybe it’s...

  • Being at peace with who you are; or...
  • Having a network of friends who accept you unconditionally; or...
  • Having the freedom to pursue your deepest dreams.

No matter what is your version of true happiness - you can live a happier, more satisfying life.

Just remember: happiness is NOT something that someone gives you, and it is NOT something that you have to have permission for.

Happiness is a state of mind that is created from within.

So... we ask you today to think for yourself...
How could you experience more happiness in your daily life?

Here's Our Suggestion:

Have Fun With Feel-Good Words

Grab a notebook or sheet of paper and write down one word that makes you feel happy (i.e. makes you smile or feel hopeful or motivates you to dream).

Then think of another word that makes you feel good and write that down on the next line.

Then think of another word and continue the process for 10 minutes.

For example, the word “love” makes us think of “intimacy,” which makes us think of “senses,” which makes us think of “flowers,” which makes us think of “sunshine,” and “natural pools,” and “skinnydip” and “lazy afternoons”...

These are all words that make us feel relaxed, at ease and happy.

Give it a try for yourself

  • More happiness will come to me I guess if I take time to see what makes me happy now: Inspiration, relaxation, light sparks on the water, air, the smell of air, water, family, laughter, dancing, music, more music, friends, being able to love, appreciate, admire, reading, my parents (in heaven), acceptance, the Nisandeh Neta Mastermind group, accomplishments, teachings from Eckhart Tolle, learning new skills (Turkish), singing, the list is endless.

I will continue with this list when I go to bed. Oh yes, sleeping also makes me happy! I’m off to bed!

  • What a fun exercise! Nice to see that, as expected, it is indeed the small things that do it. Enjoying beauty and being with your loved ones….

Wat een leuke oefening! Mooi om te zien dat het juist zoals verwacht inderdaad de kleine dingen zijn die het doen. Genieten van schoonheid en samenzijn met je geliefden….

  • Hapiness is a mindset. I choose to be happy.
If ever I don’t feel as happy as I want to, I listen to my favorite music, I go out in nature and I count my blessings. Always works to get me back in a happy place.

If you focus on the negative, what you don’t have, the things that go wrong, … You will never feel happy.

    • Vered Neta says:

Thanks Peter for your valuable addition. Happiness IS a mindset.
Curious to know what are the things that bring you into this mindset?

  • Hanny Schouten says:

I’m thankful for so many things in live and that makes me so happy every time again. I think that happiness is a choice, you can make yourself happy through the way you think, live an do.

    • Vered Neta says:

Great to hear that Hanny and thank you for your contribution.
Would love to hear what kind of words came up for you when thinking of Happiness

  • What a great coincidence..Happiness is the theme for me in this period of my life and work.
I think that happiness is a choice and the first condition or rule is to make things simple or easy.

Life isn’t supposed to be difficult. So my way of being more happy is to remember myself at the beginning of each interaction this day is to do it from a place of happiness so that it not only infuses myself but also the world and the people around me

    • Vered Neta says:

Thanks for your wonderful and valuable input Eric.

I totally agree with you that Happiness is a CHOICE we make every single day…
Would love to hear what helps you in staying in that place of happiness even when things become challenging during the day?

        • Vered Neta says:
