Success OR Happiness? Which One Would You Choose?
- How about both?
- How about doing what you love, AND loving what you do?
- How about being healthy, while having a growing, loving relationship AND a successful career?
We all want to be successful AND happy.
We bet you have many goals you wish to achieve. Whether these goals are for business, home, family, or personal-growth...
But what if you haven't achieved those goals yet?
Are you a failure?
Of course not... but you might just need a little support in the "mindset department".
To succeed in any area - you need the right energy, the clarity to make better decisions, and the right mix of focus, passion and perseverance.
Without a supporting mindset you may find yourself distracted, confused, worried, in doubt, procrastinating, or lacking passion or balance in your life.
Whatever your definition of success and happiness is, one fact is universal - you have to make sure that your mindset supports and empowers you in accomplishing ALL your goals and dreams.
Change Your Mindset, Change Your Life.
It sounds so easy... but how the heck do you do that?
The beliefs and thoughts you repeat in your mind, define the actions you take and the results you achieve.
Therefore, becoming more aware of your thoughts AND transforming the non-supportive ones is a crucial element in creating a success mindset.
Practicing Mindfulness Has Changed Our Lives…
… in so many ways:
- Both of us used mindfulness practices of observing our thoughts (without judgement) to eliminate limiting beliefs that kept us from being happy and successful (E.g. Nisandeh: “Money is dirty”, Vered: “I am not creative”).
- Nisandeh: I healed a 20-year asthma almost instantaneously when I became aware of the unconscious "benefits" my asthma gave me.
- Vered: I used mindfulness practices to break through my fears and comfort zone and left an unsatisfying job for a more fulfilling path as an entrepreneur.
- Nisandeh: I used a mindfulness exercise to let go of MY ego and MY wishes, and came up with the “right” product for our AUDIENCE (the Business Bootcamp), which generated 19 million euros in revenue.
- We used mindfulness practices to clarify our ideal life vision - which "moved us" to a tiny paradise island, living off-the-grid our ideal life.
- Vered: I've lost 20 kg of overweight by implementing a simple mindfulness eating practice during meals.
- And most importantly, we developed a deeper sense of self-awareness which created more depth, happiness, togetherness and fulfillment in our daily life.
This list may seem too good to be true, but looking back on our lives, all of these events only happened once we fully committed to be more mindful in every moment.
Most moments we forget.
But when we remember and we open ourselves up to what IS, right here in this moment... we experience a deep sense of belonging and fulfillment that can make even the most mundane moments... magical.
Is Mindfulness for You?
That depends.
Mindfulness is a pretty simple concept. It is about your mind paying full attention to what’s happening, to what you’re doing, to the space you’re moving through.
That might seem easy, except for the annoying fact that your mind almost never in that space. As the mind wanders, you lose touch with your body, and pretty soon you are caught up in obsessive thoughts about something that just happened or worrying about the future.
However... no matter how far your mind drifts away, mindfulness is right there to get you back to where you are right now and what you’re doing and feeling.
If you want to know what mindfulness is, it is best to practice it for a while.
Mindfulness practices are short, simple, down-to-earth, and easily done in any environment at any time (yes... even while driving, eating, washing dishes or making love).
Chances are that you're gonna love it.
And you're going to love the results in your life...

Five Mindfulness Habits That Will Make You More Successful
Habit 1: Breathe for One Minute
If you sometimes move too fast and feel out of control - develop a daily habit of taking a one-minute mindfulness break every hour - or whenever it becomes difficult to focus.
For this mindfulness practice, set a timer for one minute, close your eyes, and focus your attention on the flow of your breath in and out.
If your mind wanders, acknowledge it without judgement and return your attention to your breath.
Habit 2: This Person Could Die Tonight
This may sound a bit morbid, but this mindfulness practice is a powerful way to bring yourself into the moment and really engage with the person you are with.
Imagine never being able to talk with them again.
- Would you listen more intently?
- Would you speak more lovingly?
- Would you take the time to fully be with them?
Habit 3: Fire Your Inner Critic
When you pay attention, you will notice that some of your most negative thoughts and beliefs come from self criticism.
Thoughts like “I’m not good enough”, “I’m not worthy of…”, “I’m too old”, “I’m too young”, “I’m not good at…” stop you from feeling confident and worthy of achieving your dreams.
When you practice mindfulness - you can simply witness those thoughts without attachment (imagine you are a loving friend, spiritual teacher, or wise mentor), and release them by mindfully answering these questions:
- What is the story I am telling myself about who I am (e.g. “I am not good enough”)?
- Is this story telling the absolute truth?
- What positive beliefs could I use to replace this limiting belief?
Habit 4: Focus on Words of Positivity
Now that you have witnessed your self-limiting beliefs, it’s time to replace them with positive beliefs to boost your success mindset.
Positive affirmations is the most effective way of doing this. This mindfulness practice focuses your attention on words of positivity that counteract whatever negative thoughts you have held in your mind for so long.
To practice positive affirmations for success, take your time to consider what your highest self wants you to know or manifest. Write these wishes as clear, powerful sentences… and then… twice a day... close your eyes and silently repeat these affirmations to yourself over and over again.
Examples of affirmations that can help you create a mindset of success include:
- I am the creator of my life
- I have all that I need to succeed
- I see opportunities in every challenge
Habit 5: Count Your Blessings
Another way that mindfulness can help boost your success mindset is through gratitude practice. When you appreciate what you have, you start believing in your ability to succeed and seeing challenges as opportunities.
The key to developing daily appreciation and gratefulness is to focus on being aware of the little things in life.
Try saying out loud right now one thing that you are grateful for. Your clothes. Your beating heart. Your phone. Anything that you would miss if you no longer had it.
To Wrap It Up
As you install new habits of mindfulness, you become more aware of all the unconscious self limitations you have against success.
Mindfulness practices empower you to gently and compassionately break through these limitations. And, as you set your goals from a space of mindfulness (coming up in the next blog post), these mindfulness practices will take you further and further towards your ideal life.

Thank you for this inspiring article.
In the last years I was focusing to grow my business and get more and more professional knowledge, but I’ve realized, that I need to work on my personal skills and accept myself who I am and what I’ve achieved and not achieved,
I think mindfulness is a good tool . Many years ago it helped me a lot to be good and patient mother of three young children, now its time to focus on myself too.
That’s so great to hear this Beata!
Mindfulness would not only help you with becoming more comfortable and accepting yourself but also in reaching hard decisions in yoru business coming from a quiet and confident place.
Thanks for the reminder of being mindful in my day-to-day tasks.
And for sharing what it brought for you.
I experienced myself that affirmations are working, even if it can be a slow process.
That is what it is: a process.
Time to start tweaking my affirmations for the next level in my life and business.
Thanks Dunja for letting us know how the affirmations work for you and that it is a PROCESS.
Curious to hear what other tips YOU have that helped you reach your goals
It is a strong pair: affirmations and mindfulness.
I hope to learn more about affirmations. I want to learn more of this topic to make more impact in conservation of Nature and developing new nature reserves for future generations!
I agree with you Richard that the combination of working with both mindfulness and affirmation is a powerful tool which gives you advantage on many others in reaching yoru goals.
Hope to have you with us in our Mindfulness course.
I want to stay positive with severe cancer diagnosis which seems to come back after 11 years !
Convinced that Nisandeh will provide some valid “hooks”.
So sorry to hear your cancer has returned Alex. Sending you all the healing energies, strength and light we can.
One way of staying positive in such challenging time is to look at cancer as a message and a lesson that is sent to you.
You’ve already learned the lesson last time, have a look what can you learn this time.
With Mindfulness practice you can tune much deeper into your body and receive those lessons and also learn how not to react and fight it what is going NOW in your body, but live in equanimity with it.
All our love and blessings sent to you
Right now I am in the process of becoming a trader so I could use all the success in the world to achieve that goal!
Thank you for the inspiration and, in advance, for the affirmations!
Thank you for your contribution Karin.
Mindfulness would certainly help you when learning a new skill and Affirmations would give you that extra advantage on others as yoru mind would be geared to success and not to what holds you back
It’s so lovely to see that you guys also keep growing and developing…
Thanks Barbara. What ways have you found to use mindfulness to help you in making a successful life?
Thank you again, Nisandeh and Vered, for your inspiration. I cannot think of any day your insights didn’t help me move forward.
The cards we made at the end of Life Skills University 2014 and the Intention of the day-cards I use on a daily basis. I may not have become much of an entrepreneur, but I did become the creator of my life. Big hug from Jet
That’s awesome to read Jet.
I wonder what would you take from this article and implement into your life?
You are always inspiring
Thank Elsa.
Curious to know what would you take and implement in your life?
Thank you for the inspiration. The areas in my life where I wish for more success are my living situation (I have been decluttering but am still getting overwhelmed by what is still to do), my fitness-regimen – I am very disciplined for a while and then something shakes the routine and I loose it again. Actually, that is it in a nutshell.
Thanks for your valuable contribution Cora.
Using mindfulness in your daily life allows you to discover quickly when resistance appears and you can work with that resistance as part of your routine
Dear Vered & Nisandeh, am glad I had the opportunity to join a Business Bootcamp in 2011. It made a big switch for me. I can tell all it was great experiences, it could be a book. The small habit changes and easy influences of my own thoughts brought me joy and succes.
Every day I make steps to make a movement of energy to enthusiasm people around me to enjoy life with all ups and downs. The only thing to influence it is by my thoughts and actions.
By just sharing my experience and energy it gets attraction and copying so my environment gets energized.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. Let conformism work for the positive way instead of the negative thoughts of fear humanity lives in at this moment.
What gets in your mind influences everything. So by filtering what I put in makes the most important difference.
Wish love, light and energy to everyone.
Great to hear from you again Peron. Keep on inspiring the world with your work.
I’m curious to hear what mindsets have you found to be valuable and helpful for you?
Thank you 🙂
I’m using affirmations for about two years and slowly it helps to increase self-esteem.
But there are still a lot of negative believes to clear. In business (attract right client), clarity of purpose (as opposed to ‘I’ll never know’), in relationships (friends and romantic)
Thanks for your wonderful contribution Didi.
Changing our mindset and the inner talk takes time. You have built that Inner Critic over years, expecting to get rid of it instantly is a misconception that you should not fall into.
TRUST yourself, TRUST the process and most of all TRUST that all is well AS IS… as long as you do the work that’s where you need to be
Thank you for this energy boost, it’s always inspiring.
Had a rough time and needed to get back on my big plans, felt defeated and needed to do some work on myself indeed the best thing to do is right through it.
Now I need this extra boost and guidance to pick up myself and rewrite the plans I made and make them successful more than ever I need support and discipline so you both could help me with that by sending me golden tips to gain wealth and success.
Thank you so much ???
You’re so very welcome, Trudy.
And thank you for the warm words.
We will keep sharing whatever we can, but please let us know if there are specific challenges or questions you need answers for, and we’ll see how we can support you further.
Make it an awesome day…
Success starts with your programs.
Go for it, Elsa…
We’re here to support you in any way we can.
Thank you. Reading this and practicing some of it was the best thing to start my day?☺
I’d like to get more self-confidence, especially within a group. I play meditation music, until now only in a room, but I’m asked to play outside in a large group. Exciting, but scary…
Great to hear that this article helped start your day on the bright side Marjet.
Always remember that the only way beyond fear is… through it!
Fear and excitement are the same energy… only in one you hold your breath (fear) and in the other you exhale it (excitement)
Make sure you breathe in and out as you go an play your music to that outside group and… Let us know how it went
Hi Nisandeh and Vered, thank you again for your great contribution. I notice that my focus has been hard to find in recent years.
I am busy with a lot and therefore not really anything … And I often ask myself the question: “how then … (to work out / create something)?” Which I don’t think is really a helpful thought …?
Hi Marion, Great to hear we could contribute to you.
Thank you for your valuable input, which I’m sure many can recognize.
Nothing wrong with you question, the challenge is to be able to follow through with the answers that you get.
Focus is definitely a challenge when we have many areas that interest us and we are passionate about.
When you practice Mindfulness on a daily basis you’re able to focus on each area when you choose and not allow disturbances to interfere with what you want to focus on.
That’s one of the benefits of practicing Mindfulness
Thanks for your offer. I like more energy. I’m grateful for my success and happy life!
Great to hear this Karin. What do you think needs to change in order for you to have more energy?
Many thanks for this positive article! I would like to be better in sales, attract a partner in my life and create more wealth.
Thanks for this important contribution Eduard.
What do you think needs to change in your mindset to create these results?
Being more mindful every moment of our passing lives is the best thing you can do for yourself and others.
Loved the article.
Sander
I agree, Sander…
And thank you for the warm words.
To have more customers and invitations to speak
Thank you for sharing, Milou.
Can you see what could you transform in your mindset – to get you those results you’re looking for?
I want to achieve greater succes in transforming the ‘what-if it doesn’t’ voice far in the background…
Good one, Yvonne…
When people ask me “What if it doesn’t…?” – my automatic answer is “What if it does?”
The more you practice asking your little voice “What if it does?” – the faster it will become a habit.
Make it an awesome day…
Dealing with your inner critic is a challenge. A challenge I take on!
Brillant, Hans-Peter.
Never push your inner critic away… it will just become louder.
Instead tell it “thank you for sharing”, and go on with your life.
Keep us posted how the challenge goes…
Gratitude
What/who are you grateful for today, Bernard?
Very important recommendations
Great to hear, Sonja…
Any favorite that you’re going to start implement in your life?
Its so nice to hear from you. Through the Business Bootcamp, my whole life has changed.
I am so glad ? with the both of you ❤️❤️
I wish you a Nice day ?
Maybe you remember me. I have given you a ‘Bloempaal’ with a big hanging plant on it.
Great to have you back with us, Marjo…

Make it an awesome day.
